Program of the tour includes:

1. Day: Zagreb

Upon arrival at Zagreb airport, transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

2. Day: Zagreb – Plitvice

Rent-a-car will be waiting for you in front of the hotel after breakfast. We propose you to explore the town of Zagreb - the capital city of Croatia which is atractive for its monuments and buildings constructed due to the architecture influenced by Austrian and Hungarian characteristics, beautiful green park areas, tasty food prepaired with local ingredients, rich night and cultural life. During the walk, do not miss to see the old town with the fortified Upper Town, St Mark´s church, the Cathedral, Croatian National Theater… Continuation towards  the Plitvice Lakes. On the way we recommend you to have lunch in the small village of Slunj in one of the  local restaurants. Departure towards the National Park of Plitvice Lakes. Check– in to a private accommodation, dinner and overnight.

 

3. Day: Plitvice – NP Paklenica - Zadar

After breakfast, exploration of the Plitvice Lakes. It is the first proclaimed National park in Croatia and at the same time – a UNESCO site, which contains 16 cascade lakes, dynamic waterfalls and wooden paths. On the way towards Zadar, you can visit the NP Paklenica – known for its unique karst landscape consisting of Great and Small Canyon. Fresh air, dramatic contrast of cliffs and lush forests are the main characteristics of this beauty. You can have lunch in one of the three restaurants in the Park. Continuation towards Zadar. Check – in to accommodation, dinner and overnight in Zadar. 

 

4. Day: Zadar – NP Krka – Šibenik – Trogir - Split

Visit of the town of Zadar- one of the oldest towns in Croatia, destination nr.1 – proclaimed by European Best Destinations for year 2016., rich of remains and monuments from the ancient times such as the famous square Forum Romanum, St Donat´s church, the cathedral of St Anastasia, archaeological Museum, Museum of ancient glass… Continuation towards NP Krka - natural and karst phenomenon, with seven waterfalls and 72.5km long river Krka and  several renovated water mills, souvenir shops, restaurant. We recommend you to have lunch in the NP. Departure to Šibenik - a medieval pearl, famous for its cathedral of St Jacob´s from the 15 th century - recognised by UNESCO and inscribed on the World Heritage List. Continuation to Trogir, a picturesque old town, completely under the protection of UNESCO  for its  cultural monuments and well known for its Cathedral of St Lawrence with its magnificent Romanesque portal. Check – in to accommodation, dinner and overnight in Split.

 

5. Day: Split – Salona - Split

After breakfast - visit of Split. It is a 1700 years old city, famous for its  Diocletian´s palace which is the historical centre of the city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can see many valuable monuments such as the cathedral of  St Dujam - the patron of Split, square Peristil, renaissance palaces, churches… In the afternoon we propose you to visit the nearby Salona – ancient town  and birthplace  of the Roman emperor Diocletian. Return back to Split. We recommend you to have dinner in one of the lovely restaurants  in which you will enjoy in the food and in the ambience. Overnight.

 

6. Day: Split – Hvar – Split

Take the catamaran to Hvar from the port of Split. Visit the longest and the sunniest Croatian island, listed by magazine Forbes on the list of 10 most beautiful islands in the world. The town of Hvar is interesting for its architecture with strong Venetian influence, stunning cathedral of St. Stephen, Franciscan monastery, Benedictine monastery, fortress Španjola, crystal clear sea, typical food... Return by catamaran to Split. Overnight.

 

7. Day: Split – airport

After breakfast, departure to airport. You can leave the rent-a-car at the airport. Return flight.
